Regardless of the issue, it is historic that 190 nations unanimously agreed. The issue was climate change, and the Paris Agreement is being celebrated because so many nations agreed to the accord. The good news is that the aim is to keep global warming to below 1.5C. The more critical read reveals that the targets are actually 2.7C, which is 1.0C below what would happen if nothing was done. The 2.7C is above the 2.0C recommended by climatologists, and above the 1.5C that may be necessary to keep low-lying island nations from being submerged. The agreement is far better than nothing, and while the individual nation targets are legally binding, the individual actions are not.
