Sea level rise continues and accelerates. Since 1992, the average sea height has risen about three inches, one inch each from temperature increase, polar ice sheet melt, and mainland glacier melt. The rise is increasing. Three inches is not much – if you are more then four inches above sea level, but about 150,000,000 live within about three feet of sea level. The recent rise is less of a concern as the trend, which is accelerating. Reversing the trend will take centuries, if we act at all.
