Amidst the turmoil of 2020, however, it is worth noting that the President of the United States has contracted a life-threatening disease within about a month of the election. Whichever side you’re on, whether you’re a US voter or not, planning for the future just became much more uncertain – and people and institutions do not like uncertainty. This event may affect the planet at a time when the pandemic, the climate, the economy, and social justice issues are all fragile and unstable.
