Believe it or not, good news from Britain. (I’ll leave off the Great for a while, at least until they sort themselves out.) For a few hours, they didn’t burn any coal to produce electricity. A place that defined the Industrial Revolution by burning readily available coal to power factories was able to turn that off for the first time since 1882. As coal plants are used less frequently, their relative costs go up, furthering the competitive advantage of renewables like solar, wind, and tidal power. Evidently, more things than Brexit are changing life on the island. (Not big news, but they could use all the good news they can get.)
