NASA’s data show May set a record for global warmth. By some measures, this is thirteen months of record heat. This time it was 1.67F (0.93C) above normal, which makes it like several of the record setting months, exceeding previous records by wide margins. The various international agreements have set a goal of limiting warming to +2C, with island nations asking for a 1.5C target. Each month of warming suggests we won’t stop in time.
