Solar power just got easier. Solar power continues to gain acceptance as prices fall. Conventional photovoltaic cells have successfully challenged conventional fossil fuels even though installation requires significant infrastructure to erect and position the rigid solar cells. Now, solar cells can be mounted on flexible sheets that are simply rolled out and begin collecting energy, no installation required. That is very useful in emergency situations where any delay in generating electricity means prolonged hazard to the people in the area. While it may be simple and fun to imagine rolling out a sheet at a campsite, the folks who’ve developed this technology have developed a variation that includes all of the regulator and battery systems and a container filled with rolls of cells. One container can deliver and deploy 600KW of power.
