The familiar air pollution, which inspired clean air legislation, continues to kill about 1.4M people. Indoor air pollution, however is far worse, killing about 3.1M. The secondary health effects kill another 0.5M. While generations may appreciate our fight against climate change, people alive today can definitely benefit from a reduction in the use of fossil fuels.
