Unemployment tends to be higher for young people. It is falling, and they get the credit. The largest sector of job growth for young people is self-employment. Whether by choice or necessity, they’re working for themselves, and that sector is growing at about 8%. The redefinition of the American workplace continues thanks to entrepreneurs (and not corporations, some of which are laying them off.)
