In response to The Great Recession, federal and state spending, as well as buyouts and such, ramped up to create growth. The influence was large and controversial. Within the last year, all of the governmental influences have decreased suggesting that the economy no longer needs the stimulus and that the government can return to a more nominal fiscal policy.
