Google has advanced the technology for chatbots. Chatbots are advancing to the point where they will start taking over some tech support and call center jobs. We’ve gone from human operators answering phones, to automated voice mail, to adaptive voice mail, to – now – taking on some of the tasks that were left to the humans you finally reached after clicking through all the menus. More jobs redefined.
One consequence is the ability of the chatbots to begin taking on philosophical conversations that, for now, are quizzical; but that may soon reach the level of human debates. Will they find answers we’ve never uncovered? Will they know what to do with the wisdom?
