Farmers feed us. Thank you. Food is one of the ultimate necessities. (Breathing is very high on the list, too.)
Farmers also feed the grid, partly to save on their energy bills, and partly to make some money. Lots of open space means sunshine and wind are unimpeded. Some panels and turbines and they have a second source of income; and we have yet another reason to thank them.
