July did it. It was the hottest month on record. It was up 1.67F (0.93C) globally, and up 2.77F (1.54C) in the northern hemisphere. Data compiled by NOAA continue to show the trend. Every year has fluctuations, so some years don’t set records, but if the climate was near normal, there would be as many higher records as lower records. That is certainly not happening. Indications that 2021 will set a record for the year, too.
