“Three Earth-mass worlds found around a small red star only 12 light-years away.” – NASA
“Only” is a relative term, but it is an encouraging one for future generations. While there is no rush to get to other solar systems, it would be limiting to learn that the nearest Earth-like planets were farther away. Finding three so close, and all within one system makes it more efficient to explore. Granted, this bit of optimism is largely reserved for future generations, but lately, any hint of optimism is welcome.
