Simple and good news. Scotland’s wind power network is now capable of producing more electricity than the country needs. For four days it produced over 100% of the country’s electrical consumption with a peak of 132% on Christmas Eve. Nice present. More good news is that the country is becoming more efficient, reducing power consumption. Scotland is also installing significant tidal power generators as well. Scotland is becoming more self-sufficient than most, even while having access to significant North Sea oil and gas. Congratulations, Scotland.
