The melting ice sheets of Greenland are raising ocean sea levels. That was bad enough to cause many to worry. Evidently, they are melting more quickly than we thought. Instead of losing 550 trillion pounds of ice per year (550,000,000,000,000 pounds), Greenland is losing 590 trillion pounds of ice per year. That’s an extra 40,000,000,000,000 pounds of ice every year. The numbers can seem too abstract or too large to believe. The video in the article is illustrative, though will probably only be watched by people that already realize what’s happening.
