Yet again, Bitcoin and Blockchain are gaining acceptance within the financial community. In some ways, the cryptocurrency systems are more efficient than the conventional systems for shuttling around currencies and the big banks are taking notice. They’re still working out the details, but cryptocurrencies may find that their killer app was working for the very system they looked to circumvent. Bank of America, and other banks, are filing patents for the use of cryptocurrencies (not just Bitcoin) for foreign currency transfers.
