A measure of California’s drought is that this year’s snowpack hit a 500 year low. If the climate was steady, the weather would switch back and counterbalance the deficit. That may not happen, according to climate change models that suggest California may be entering another mega-drought, decades-long droughts that have happened before. If so, economies and wildfire seasons will be affected.
