This robot may eerily look like something from The Matrix. A snake of a robot detects an electric car parked beside it, finds the charge port, plugs itself in, and charges the car. Just in case you didn’t want to have to remember to do it yourself. One practical application is recharging autonomous electric cars, like taxi fleets. The cars drive around, doing their job, until they get low on power, or find a convenient time to fill up, pull in, get charged, and get back to work, no humans required.
