Now that trading has renewed in Greece, the impacts of the new deal can be reflected in the markets. Greek bank stocks dropped 25% on the day the markets opened. For the year, they are down about 75%. Evidently, market sentiment is negative, lacking confidence in Greece’s solution. The story for Greece is bad enough, but the story is more a reminder of the frailty of financial institutions.
