How many years in a row does a trend have to go before it is accepted as fact? We’ve now experienced 30 years of above average temperatures, and the trend continues. The question is not moot or academic. Socially accepted perceptions take time to assimilate into the common culture. An entire generation has only experienced rising temperatures. For them, that is the norm. Action follows acceptance, and acceptance is gaining. The question, of course, is whether it is gaining fast enough.
