The Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica has worried many because it is known to be melting and contains enough water to raise sea levels 2 feet. That’s a lot of rise from one glacier. Basically, a glacier the size of Florida is melting, and disconnecting from the land that anchors it. Think in terms of big ice bergs and sea level rise becoming more of an issue sooner than expected. Responding to sea level rise is something many countries are already late for. This makes that worse.
