It may sound like a Duh! moment, but data is now proving that stronger environmental restrictions do clean the air, negating the debate about possible countering side effects. The added bonus is that the greenest states also tend to be more affluent, though that may be correlation and not cause. The opposite is true. More reason to move to where the grass is greener.
