Algae are edible. They contain a lot of protein. Algae generate heat. That’s one of the by-products of life. Handled correctly, algae can also create light. A demonstration project is in progress that uses algae as a household light and heat source which can be harvested for food. It gives new meaning to a living house. The current system requires central support to provide life support for the algae, so the piping looks like something from the sci-fi movie, Brazil, but it is feasible – at least for a demonstration. Just another possible solution, to more than one problem.
