Connecting everyone to the electrical grid is easy, as long as they live in dense places like cities. Rural has always been harder, but even there, people gather. Rather than extending the grid out from the city to the farm, it is increasingly more efficient to create a mini-grid for each rural community. Solar power, LED lights, and more efficient appliances enable power to the people. The trend is increasing, but has yet to catch up to a faster trend: population growth. It is a race.
