A quiet revolution is occurring. People are simply deciding to live more simply. No need for protests, marches, referendums, or debates. Person by person people are driving less, using less energy, and accumulating less. Some of it is in response to The Great Recession. Some of it is in response to mitigating climate change. The cumulative effect is to upset expected supply and demand for oil. Large industries are being shifted through the unofficial, independent actions of purposeful people, quietly.
