Thanks to the subsidies, Obamacare is having a large, positive impact on the poorest people. The effective change in income is over 5% for those in the bottom 20%. The decrease in income for those above 20% is usually less than 1%. In the longer term, benefiting the income of the poorest benefits their health, and decreases health care costs for all.
