The US unemployment rate continues to drop (though the employment rate is different). It is reaching pre-Great Recession levels. The drop can’t continue for long, because the rate can’t go below zero (can it?), but it should continue to approach 4.5%, a rate considered healthy for the economy. The employment rate, however, was holding at about 70%, which shows how statistics tell more than one story. Celebrate the improvement. Wonder about the stagnation.
