A robot has been sent into the reactor at Fukushima, something no human could survive. Robots are developing well enough that they can handle tasks that were impossible. We need advanced machines to take care of our advanced machines. And, the advancements must continue, and will continue. This one got stuck and is so radioactive that it is un-salvageable. Another will be sent in to dive into the reactor well to see what happened to the fuel rods. Did they just fall, or have they melted into a radioactive mass, or has something unexpected happened?
