Countries don’t have to live in debt. They can make their citizens rich. Norway has great resources, a relatively small population, and a tax structure that taxes the resources for the benefit of the populace. The money isn’t going to the citizens directly, but it is going to a massive savings account that has more than a million dollars per capita. Their rainy day fund is ready for the financial equivalent of week-long deluges. Congratulations!
