It is troubling enough that Antarctica’s ice is melting. The melt rate is increasing. Now, the ice that has bottled up the massive amounts of inland ice are melting, effectively uncorking even greater quantities of melt water. The effect will take time, but less time than was originally expected. Sea level rise is more imminent.
