One way to get beyond the reach of government regulators is to get beyond the shore and live far enough at sea. Ocean habitats are being designed as refuges from mainland concerns. They won’t be cheap, so the people they are marketing to are rich, and a significant portion of them are advocates of Ayn Rand, or at least strongly libertarian. Refuge or not, eliteism or not, if completed they will be an interesting sociological exercise and test of the philosophy of the ultimate laissez-fair society.
