As many as 57% know that they aren’t ready for a financial emergency and about a third have no savings. Some parts of the economy are recovering, but Americans feel less secure, more unsure, and have rejected conventional wisdom because it isn’t working for them. The new dream is a hope for stability, to keep from sliding further rather than a dream of climbing higher.

Good source for poverty! It is always a fight between capital and labour where Capital always wins. The american dream was always one of the biggest lies told in the US, Bell hooks (an american author) exposes the lie of the american dream with her own experience as being one of the very few who actuall made it to the top.
