It makes sense after you think about it. The more we rely on water from deep aquifers, the more water flows to the sea. Effectively, we’re taking centuries of storms and adding them to the runoff. Yet, the oceans are so large that the effect seemed like it would be small. It adds about 10% to the total rise, so far. No climate change required.
