Autonomous cars raise accident issues; but human-driven cars have proven to be a hazard. Tens of thousands of deaths, billions spent on vehicle repair, legal fees as fault is assigned are the reality we have because of the way we drive, in the aggregate. Autonomous cars potentially have fewer accidents, which may save lives, reduce the need for repairs, and reduce the need for blame. That is good news for everyone except the insurance companies, the car repair industry, and the legal profession.
