Unemployment is down. Yay! But, the number of unemployed is at a record high. Huh? The US unemployment numbers only count about a third of the people who aren’t working. Some of the uncounted unemployed can’t work, others choose not to, others have been trying for so long that the government decides to ignore them. There are 92,989,000 Americans who aren’t working, and that isn’t counting children.

February 2014:
The number of people getting jobs = 295,000.
The number of unemployed people no longer being counted = 354,000.

The recovery is working, but not more tens of millions.
