College graduates are more likely to live at home. The trend is not a consequence of a slacker culture. It is somewhat due to lack of good paying jobs. It correlates best with student debt. The more student debt, the more likely the graduate can’t move out. If it only happened for a few percent of graduates the issue would be a curiosity. In the US, at least 30% and as high as 60% of 25 year olds are still living at home. Housing, household industries, and the beginning of the next generation are all impacted.
