We’re producing far too much greenhouse gas in the US, but the trend has finally turned. Cleaner alternatives, more efficient machines, wiser energy usage, means the total amount of greenhouse gas produced by the US is decreasing, and should continue to decrease. The level is still too high to avoid dramatic climate change, but we may be mitigating the worst scenarios.
