The more you make, the more you make. A 1% raise for someone making minimum wage is a few hundred extra dollars a year. A 1% raise for someone making a million dollars a years is an extra ten thousand dollars. The sad fact is that, as the economy improves, the poorer 99% have actually lost wages at about -0.4% while the top 1% have seen raises of over 106%. Simply said, the poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer.
