Americans want freedom. Well, at least that hasn’t changed since 1776. Unfortunately, freedom is seen as tied to money and money is seen as harder to attain. Americans are less likely to expect an improvement in their situation. The sharing economy is attracting participants because the conventional economy is becoming unresponsive and anachronistic. More people are aiming for “enough” instead of “more”.
