The Internet of Things, or as some see it, The Internet of Everything, is met with great eagerness and great anxiety. Having everything connected electronically means you can control every aspect of your electronic life, including those mechanical aspects that have chips in them, like your appliances. Control types rejoice! The world can run more efficiently, and we need to reduce waste. Unfortunately, the general rule is that, if something has a chip, it’s been hacked. That was true before the chips became so pervasive. When everything is connected, power can extend everywhere, and power has always drawn people to do great things, not necessarily good or bad, but great.
