Within the last year oil prices have dropped by about half. Fracking and the Saudi response are the largest influences. Historically, a drop in fossil fuel prices impedes progress in renewables because renewables were more expensive. Since 1977, the price of solar has fallen 99%. The drop in oil prices is temporary. The drop in solar prices continues. The balance is different now. We’re making proper progress.
