Racial and ethnic tensions are intense. Cultures and communities that were isolated now collide. Violence hidden from public view for generations now becomes world-wide news within seconds. We’ve got a lot of anger built up. Calls to end the strife based on love are a correct response. Demonstrations of love, particularly those that smudge the boundaries take longer, last longer, and have far greater effect. Inter-racial marriages are on the rise. They do it for love, and manage to heal society too.
