The US is using less petroleum. Increasingly efficient vehicles, and shifting attitudes and actions are diminishing the total petroleum required to sustain our activities. Efficiencies are expected to increase. Vehicles are increasingly shifting to electricity. People are more likely to walk, bike, or use mass transit. For many, working from home is replacing commutes. The US peak petroleum usage may have been 2004. Congratulations.
