The rich pay the largest percentage of the US taxes. Payrolls come next. People are feeling the pain. Corporations and commerce, however, paid about half back before World War II. Americans feel the taxes aren’t as fair as they could be. The call is for everyone to pay their fair share. The problem is finding a consensus on ‘fair’.
