Until immortality for all kicks in, we have to deal with burials. As population has grown, traditional methods have become less sustainable. Cemeteries are filling, and use incredible amounts of materials for coffins and resources for maintenance. Cremation has lower long term costs, but is fire, and emits greenhouse gases. Natural burial was how we began, and something to return to, but it must be managed – and made legal again. People are working at reviving and innovating around the most natural burial methods.
