One advantage of the world’s diversity is the variety of scenarios under way. Speculation isn’t as valuable as observation. Venezuela is dealing with high inflation and shrinking revenues, which are leading to income inequality and increasing poverty, all while food and basic services are harder to acquire for the majority. Historically, the change may eventually seem rapid; but while it is happening, millions of people are dealing with not having enough of the basics while also not knowing how it will be resolved. The realities of change are long periods of uncertainty.
