Greece caused a crisis within the European Union a few years ago. Bailouts, restructured debt, and austerity haven’t solved the problem of governmental insolvency. The problems are back again, as Greece only has a few million in the bank. The larger worry is for the EU, and the larger worry beyond that is for the global economy. It isn’t that Greece will take down the world, but that Greece may be merely one visible example of other indebted countries.
