The data has been collected. The Center for a New American Dream conducted a poll about what Americans think about their individual version of the dream. In general, the dream is seen as being harder to achieve, has less to do with consumption and consumerism, has more to do with community and sharing, and a recognition that the old systems must be replaced. The new dream won’t be defined by an organization. The new dream will be defined collectively, without organization, as a variety of diverse dreams because there is no singular answer. The greater the diversity, the more likely better dreams will be found.
