Feeling disaffected by American politics? There’s some sad data that illustrates the dysfunction.
Get a few people to fight for a cause and something might or might not happen. Get a lot of people to fight for a cause, and the probability of change doesn’t change much.
Get some rich people, a special interest group, or a lobbyist to fight for a cause and laws are passed, policies revised, and actions enacted.
America isn’t a democracy, not even in the Constitution. It is a representative democracy, but that representation appears to only represent positions of power.
