Are we living in a simulation? Yes, no, and maybe. If we’re inside it, we can only learn that from accidental imperfections in the programming, or from intentional clues left by the programmers. If we’re not, will we eventually decide to do so? Maybe, maybe not. If we do, will we build one that is perfect, or will we leave ourselves clues? Have we already built the simulation, jumped inside, and forgot? There is no definitive answer, but here’s a logical and mathematical analysis.
